What is the VETmobil?
The VETmobil is a mobile veterinary clinic that comes directly to the animals and pet owners who need our help most. It's a mobile unit equipped with everything necessary for veterinary treatments, vaccinations, and emergencies. What makes it special? It brings professional veterinary care to places where it would otherwise be unreachable. If we join forces, we can make my vision a reality! ...because only together are we strong!
Who benefits from VETmobil?
The VETmobil is primarily intended for the countless stray cats and dogs in Sicily, who often live in poor conditions and have no access to veterinary care. However, pet owners in remote areas who cannot afford or do not have the means to transport their animals to the nearest clinic also benefit immensely from this service. Our goal is to alleviate suffering and sustainably improve the quality of life for these animals.
Our services on the go
The mobile veterinary clinic will offer a wide range of services. These include routine check-ups, vaccinations, deworming, and parasite treatments. We will also be able to perform minor surgical procedures such as sterilizations on-site to curb the uncontrolled breeding of stray animals. In emergencies, the mobile clinic is able to provide rapid first aid and thus save lives.
Why is the VETmobil so important in Sicily?
In many parts of Sicily, there are large numbers of stray animals that are malnourished, sick, or injured. Access to veterinary care is often limited or unaffordable for many. The VETmobil fills this gap.
