For about two years now, I've been privately caring for a registered cat colony in Maganuco, doing my best to give these strays a dignified life.
But as I've learned, this is unfortunately just a drop in the ocean, because the stray cat problem can't be solved this way.
One night, I dreamt of mobile veterinary clinics providing on-site care for the small animals of the rural population and the countless strays of Sicily.
This dream became my vision.
Since the beginning of 2026, I've been working to make my dream of happy strays in Sicily a reality. Unfortunately,
I receive very little, indeed almost no, support from Sicilian politicians and media.
As the saying goes: Hope dies last!
It's 5 minutes to 12!!!
Here's my current project...
...the VETmobile

A mobile veterinary practice that cares for the animals of impoverished people and strays, aiming to close a huge gap in veterinary care.
The solution...
Just as in Naples you would pay for a "caffè sospeso*" for a stranger, your monthly micro-donation supports "VETmobil" (the mobile rural veterinarians).
Even a small monthly contribution adds up to something truly significant. Together, we can pay mobile veterinarians, maintain feeding stations, and, most importantly, prevent countless stories of suffering from ever happening in the first place.
First aid for people in need...
For many people living in poverty, their pet is their only loyal companion, a source of comfort and social interaction. The fear of losing their animal due to a treatable illness or being unable to care for it because of the cost is an enormous psychological burden. The VETmobil alleviates this worry and strengthens the human-animal bond.
Stray animals and those whose owners cannot afford treatment often suffer in silence. The VETmobil brings help directly to where it is most urgently needed, relieving pain, healing illnesses, and saving lives.
2. For use in rural areas...
The small vineyards, the abandoned farms. Places where the nearest veterinarian is often dozens of kilometers away and transport for the shy animals seems impossible. "That's precisely where the VETmobil becomes a lifesaver."
I understand that it will take some time before we see initial results. But if we don't act now, when will we?
Only together are we a strong team!
The solution: the Vetmobile for all street animals in the world!
